Top Performing Stocks at the NSE for the Last One Year

Sasini Tea and coffee has been the top performing stock for the last one year. The company has gained a total of 66.02 percent in terms of piecing per share. The company at the start of 2015 sold its shares at 12.95 shillings per share but at the beginning of 2016, the price was 21.50 shillings per share this being an increase by 8.55 shillings per share. Kakuzi comes is second as the best performing stock at the Nairobi Security Exchange posting s percentage gain of 36.36 in terms of pricing per share. The starting price at the beginning of 2015 for Kakuzi was 220.00 shillings per share but at the end of January 2016, the price had come to 300.00 shillings per share this being an increase of 80.00 shillings on the price per share. The traded in shares for Kakuzi for the one year under review are 609,300 shares.
Marshals E.A is the third best performing stock with a percentage gain of 17.86 percent per share price. The price at the start of 2015 per share for Marshalls was 11.20 shillings per share but one year later, a share was going at 13.20 shillings and this is an increase of 2.00 shillings per share price. The total traded in shares for the past one year for Marshalls are 256,400 shares.
Bamburi Cement is another best performing stock posting a total gain of 16.44 percent. The price of each share at the beginning of 2015 for Bamburi was 149.00 shillings per share. At the beginning of 2016, the company had gained by 24.50 shillings on a share selling at 173.50 shillings per share. The total number of the traded in shares for Bamburi is 12,433,000.
