Wadi Degla Launches Another Mighty Project in Kiambu County

Wadi Degla Holdings, on Wednesday, laid ground for one of the greatest sporting facilities in the country that will see talents being identified, nurtured and turned into world champions. In a colorful event that happened at Migaa, Runda in Kiambu County and attended by the Cabinet Secretary in charge of Sports Dr. Wario, WadiDegla revealed that it is going to invest more than three billion shillings in making sure that Kenya and Kenyans in general benefit.

The Wadi Degla Holding which has its strong base in Egypt and where it has established more than five sporting clubs decided to venture into Kenya as the first East African nation with an intention to tap into the wide range of talent and resources in the country.

Among the facilities to be established in Runda Branch are such sports facilities as Squash Courts, Tennis Courts, Kids Pool, Handball Court, Basketball Court, Running Track, Volleyball Court, Training Pool, Walking Track as well as Fun Pool. Others are both leisure and health facilities like Bars and Lounges, Restaurants, Food Outlets, Indoor and Outdoor Seating Areas, Kids Areas, Gym, Spa, Dancing Schools for salsa and Tango as well as Aerobics.

Wadi Degla was the first to introduce the branded sporting academies concept where it allows the young members to become champions in one of the four main different sports. The company intends to introduce a world class sports academy, one that equals to that of Arsenal Academy which I one of the affiliate of the company. The pitches that are to be constructed are those that are of FIFA standards that will allow sporting for 24 hours all year round.
