Barclays Bank of Tanzania Cancels it’s Christmas Party

Barclays Bank of Tanzania Ltd has cancelled its Christmas party this year citing its poor financial performance.

“We officially announce that 2016 end year party has been cancelled and we look forward to a positive business performance so as to hold the event in future,” read the brief from the management.

The bank further said awards and recognition to notable staff will be done in the first quarter of 2017.

Thus, “Given this situation, the business has decided to focus on containing and managing cost for the remainder of the year and scale up our 2017 focus in terms of deposit growth, segmentation of customer’s propositions and drive our performance.”
