Fantastic Beasts in a Fantastic New IMAX Theater

I was delighted when I received an invite to watch a movie by one of my favorite authors out of curiosity to know whether J.K. Rowling would deliver on the much-awaited delve into the magical world of wonders which was introduced to us in the Harry Potter books and films. J.K. Rowling’s new film follows Magizoologist, Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), a British Wizard, who stops off in New York on his way home from his trip to document Fantastic Beasts (and they really were fantastic thanks to the IMAX 3D experience). The new movie looked to be a little more lighthearted than the Harry Potter franchise starting with a bit of humor from an escaped beast in conjunction with the muggle (non-magic person) Jacob who becomes a crucial part of what makes the Fantastic Beasts movie as good as it is.

This newest release from the mind of J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter) premiered in an exclusive screening at the newly launched Garden City mall IMAX theater. The new IMAX which is under the Century Cinemax group of cinemas was launched by Mr and Mrs Jaffer.

According to Mr and Mrs Jaffer, who were also the hosts of the exclusive Fantastic Beasts movie premiere, the Garden City IMAX cinema will give shoppers at the mall located along Thika Superhighway the ‘full mall experience’. The movie event was attended by Kenya’s top bloggers and film buffs. Garden City mall goers will be happy to know that the world class viewing experience IMAX cinemas have been widely known for is preserved if not improved upon at the Garden City mall.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is now showing at IMAX.
