Register For Tuskys Wareng Cross Country Going Down This Sunday

The 12th annual Tuskys Wareng Cross Country will be going down this Sunday and athletes are being called for registration in order to take part in the historic event.

Registration for the event is ongoing at Wareng and Zion Mall branches. The registration is free and the competition is open to all athletes.

Tuskys Wareng Cross Country for those who may not be aware is an annual cross country running competition that takes place every month of November in a place called Wareng in Eldoret and it is fully sponsored by Tuskys Supermarket.

The event was set in motion in the year 2006 with a grassy course that was located in the Huruma area, approximately four kilometers west of Eldoret town. Eldoret is often known as the Home of Champions. The first edition of Tuskys Wareng Cross County was known as Tuskermatt Cross Country before it changed to the current title a year after.

The competition is often divided into two senior races (men’s 12 kilometers as well as women’s 8 kilometers) and two junior races (boy’s 8 kilometers and girl’s 6 kilometers).
