Co-operative Bank of Kenya Rules on Twitter for Four Days Running

Co-operative Bank of Kenya started off the year on a powerful note as the leading financial institution in terms of social media engagements especially on Twitter.
During the first week of January 2017, Cooperative Bank of Kenya became the only brand that had a wide brand exposure on social media for four days running. It also became the only financial institution to enjoy the privilege of dominating trends on twitter for five consecutive days.
Among the hashtags that have ruled the trend in Kenya for the last four days from Cooperative Bank of Kenya are #BackToSchoolWithCoop, #CoopBackToSchool #CoopEaseTheBurden and #CoopSmilingParents. All these hashtags from the lender pointed towards various products that the institution has this season as parents strive to take their children back to school. Many people on twitter were able to identify with the hashtags because they seemed to be addressing the real issues that were on their minds; convenient ways of paying school fees.
Cooperative Bank of Kenya has also come out as the first institution to have schools integrate their financial system with their App, the Mco-op Cash App. This integration enables parents to deposit money directly from their mobile phones via the Mco-op Cash App to the schools’ accounts. The lender also came up with a PayBill number specifically for school fees, 400222 for parents and guardians to pay school fees via MPESA.
Here are some of the evidence as just how Cooperative Bank of Kenya is rocking on twitter:

As 2016 came to an end, just before Christmas, Cooperative Bank of Kenya awed their customers by doing what other financial institution had never done in Kenya; the staff singing melodious Christmas songs to the amazed customers. As the year starts, the lender is at it again, taking over the social media by storm.
