Hilarious Posts from #UhuruChallenge, A Hashtag that Ruled Twitter

Kenyans from all walks of life took to the social media with a hashtag #UhuruChallenge to make fun of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s recent ‘launching’ expedition of various developmental ‘projects’ around the country including footbridges in Mombasa.

The hashtag came up after the Head of State launched a series of projects in Mombasa County including a footbridge. The president is also said to have launched the then Webuye Panpaper which has since been renamed Rai Paper but which has not started working.

Kenyans also used the hashtag to question the Jubilee administration string of undelivered promises with the general election being less than eight months away. Among the issues in Jubilee administration manifesto that have not been implemented include the issuing of laptops to all standard one kids, bettering the health sector in the country (with the longest doctors’ strike ongoing), the fight against corruption which seems to have turned into the maximum tolerance for corruption.
