Jubilee Holdings Tops the NSE on Wednesday with 9.89 Percent

Jubilee Holdings was the top gainer of the day at the NSE on Wednesday. The company gained 9.89 percent at the price of 500.00 shillings per share followed by East African Portland Cement with a gain of 9.57 percent at the price of 27.75 shillings per share.

Stanbic Holdings came in third with 7.69 percent at the price of 70.00 shillings per share. Nationa Media Group and Eveready East Africa gained 6.67 and 6.38 percent respectively at the price of 80.00 and 2.50 shillings per share respectively.

Sanlam Kenya was the top loser of the day. The company lost 6.25 percent at the price of 22.50 shillings per share.

Carbacid Investments and Kenya Electricity Generating Company lost 5.75 and 2.70 percent respectively at the price of 12.30 and 5.40 shillings per share respectively.

Standard Chartered Bank and Olympia Capital closed the top five losers of the day on Wednesday with 2.23 and 1.67 percent respectively at the price of 175.00 and 2.95 shillings per share respectively.

  • Against the US Dollar, the Kenyan Shilling weakened 1.41% year-to-date.
  • Against the Sterling Pound, the Kenyan Shilling strengthened 0.04% year-to-date.
  • Against the Euro, the Kenyan Shilling weakened 2.83% year-to-date.
