Did you know there are more than 17 female heads of state and governments around the world?

According to the Guinness World Records, there are seven female heads of governments and 11 female heads of states as at 23^rd March 2017.

Female heads of governments include Angela Merkel of Germany, Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh, Erna Solberg of Norway, Saara Kuugongelwa of Namibia, Beeta Szydio of Poland, Aung San Suu Kyi of Myanmar and Theresa May of the United Kingdom.

Female heads of states include Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia, Doris Leuthard of Switzerland, Dalia Grybauskaite of Lithuania, Michelle Bechelet of Chile, Marie-Louse of Malta and Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic of Croatia.

Others are Ameenah Gurib of Mauritius, Bidhya Devi of Nepal, Hilda Heine of Marshall Islands, Tsai Ing-wen of Chines Taipei and Kersti Kaijulaid of Estonia.
