Did You Know: Chinese is the most spoken language in the world

Many people think that English is the most spoken language in the world, but no, it is Chinese.

According to the list contained in the Guinness World Records and tracked by Ethnologue.com, Chines is spoken in 35 countries and has 1.302 billion speakers.

Spanish is the second most spoken language with 427 million speakers followed by English with 339 million speakers.

Arabic and Hindi are fourth and fifth most spoken languages in the world respectively with 267 and 260 million speakers respectively while Portuguese and Bengali fall on sixth and seventh most spoken languages in the world with 202 and 189 million speakers respectively.

Russian, Japanese and Lahnda are eighth, ninth and tenth most spoken languages in the world with 171, 128 and 117 million speakers respectively.
