49 percent of Kenyans are against the decision by NTSA to ban night travel for long distance PSV vehicles.

In an online poll conducted by Soko Directory, only 20 percent of the respondents supported the move by NTSA.

31 percent of the respondents held the view that the move by NTSA was that of too little too late.

The National Transport and Safety Authority arrived at the decision to ban night travel following a horror crash at Migaa along Nakuru-Eldoret highway that claimed 38 lives. The accident occurred when a Nairobi-bound bus collided head-on with a lorry on 31st of December, just hours to 2018.

NTSA’s banĀ on night travel for long distance PSVsĀ comes at a time many Kenyans are still upcountry and struggling to find their way to urban centers to resume work.

All public schools have also started a new term on 2nd of January and the ban seems to have overwhelmed the transport sector.
