Eaagads Tops the NSE as Eveready Lags in Wednesday’s Session

Eaagads was the top gainer of the day with 6.52 percent at the price of 24.50 shillings per share.

Kenya Commercial Bank and Umeme gained 5.98 and 5.60 percent respectively at the price of 48.75 and 13.20 shillings per share respectively.

Mumias Sugar Company and National Bank gained 5.26 and 4.29 percent respectively at the price of 1.00 and 8.50 shillings per share.

Eveready East Africa, East African Cables, Total Kenya and Trans-Century were among the top five losers of the day during the session.

Eveready East Africa lost 6.98 percent at the price of 2.0 shillings per share while East African Cables lost 5.56 percent at the price of 5.10 shillings per share.

Total Kenya, Trans-Century, and Kenya Re-Insurance lost 4.27, 4.20 and 3.80 percent respectively at the price of 28.00, 5.70 and 19.00 shillings per share respectively.

The top mover of the day was Safaricom. The telecommunication company sold 10.94 shares followed by Co-operative Bank with 2.89 shares.

Kenya Commercial Bank, Equity Group, and Barclays Bank sold 2.06, 1.42 million and 786,500 shares respectively.
