Jonathan Kariuki Plans to Improve His Business With his new win from Telkom Kenya

When Jonathan Kariuki Chege, an entrepreneur from Eldoret town received a call informing him that he had won a brand new Toyota Belta from Telkom Kenya, he could not believe it.
“First, I thought that my ears were playing tricks on me. In fact, I almost disconnected the call because it sounded so unreal,” he said during a call interview with Soko Directory.
Kariuki said he woke up like other Kenyans on a Wednesday, went into a shop and bought airtime worth 1,000 shillings and topped up his Telkom line.
“I was actually not buying the airtime to win anything. I was just buying to use it for my business. I could not imagine a thousand bob giving me a new Toyota Belta just like that,” he added.
As unreal as it might sound, Telkom Kenya has 50 brand new cars that is giving out to their customers just for topping up. Unlike other promotions that have tough terms and conditions, the “Top Up and Win” promotion is different for it only requires one to top up and win.

Asked how he felt after receiving a call that he had won, Kariuki lets out a soft laugh, sighs and says, “With many pranks in Kenya, I thought that was one of the pranks of creative Kenyans. The person who called me looked very excited and this made me interested. Plus I had watched the promotion on TV. It was a surprise of its own kind.”
The 27-year-old entrepreneur plans to use the car for his own personal use as well as in reaching out to both his existing and prospect clients.
“This new ‘baby’ (referring to the car) will be very helpful to my business and for my own personal work. I would like to thank Telkom Kenya. This is something out of ordinary. No one can just give you a car in exchange for airtime. This is one promotion that I can say is real. All along I have been seeing such promotions as scams but this one, I bet on it,” he said.
Kariuki will be among the 50 Kenyans who will walk away with brand new Toyota Beltas in a promotion that is running for ten weeks.
When we say we have 50 cars to give out in 50 days, we mean it! 😆
