London Distillers Ordered To Close over Environment Pollution

The National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has issued closure orders to London Distillers over environmental pollution on residential housing developments worth millions of shillings.

“Following the complaints, NEMA had sent its own environmental inspectors on the ground who carried out a thorough inspection of the affected areas and confirmed the situation was serious,” read a letter from NEMA.

NEMA is said to have received numerous complaints from the residents of Great Wall Gardens owned by Edermann Property Limited where London Distillers has been blamed for emptying toxic wastewater into the surroundings leading to discomfort and diseases.
