Now that you have registered for T-kash, Here is how it works

Now that you know what T-kash is and you have already registered, the question you probably are asking is how it works.
Remember, to use T-kash, you must register with an authorized agent first. The company hasn’t pushed the STK menu yet and the service can be accessed using a USSD code *160# although it will be available soon.
The service only works if your Telkom line is registered with the service. If you want to withdraw money, you must first generate what is called T-kash code. When you execute a transaction, the code is generated for free, but it is valid for 10 minutes.
The code is what you present to the T-kash agent to get your money. If you are making an ATM withdrawal, you will key in the code to the machine before your money is dispensed.
T-kash code is highly convenient as it negates the need for agent numbers or till numbers when withdrawing or paying for goods and services. That is one burden off your shoulder. You don’t have to go through the trouble of memorizing numbers, which often leads to making the wrong transactions.
The time it takes to make a transaction using the T-kash code is greatly reduced. Who doesn’t like that? It is a relief for those who have been looking for alternative ways from what they are used to. It is way easier than typing the agent number and having to confirm whether it is the right one while withdrawing or paying for goods and services.
How to Withdraw Cash from an Agent
- Go to an authorized T-kash Agent.
- Inquire if the T-kash Agent has enough funds for your transaction.
- Produce your original identification document.

- Give the Agent the T-kash Code to process your withdrawal request.
- The Agent will process your withdrawal request and you will receive a confirmation SMS from T-kash.
- The Agent will give you money and request you to sign the transaction logbook.
