Owning a home is one of the greatest achievements in everyone’s lives. The sense of belonging in home-ownership has its own feeling of satisfaction.

People have dreams of having their own homes and with these dreams comes the vision and picture of how the home is to look like. For all these to be achieved, there is a lot more that needs to be done including securing land, investing in quality building material and reaching out to the best person to carry out the real construction work.

Home ownership in Kenya is faced by one big challenge of affordability. This is why a good number of Kenyans prefer renting out houses as this is the only way of having a roof on their heads that they can afford. And this is why the Kenya Homes Expo was launched to give them an opportunity to interact with various experts in everything that concerns homeownership.

This April from 12th to 15th, the biggest East, and Central Africa’s Homes Expo, the Kenya Homes Expo will be marking its 26th successful run at the KICC with the theme “Affordable Living”.

Targeting the entire African region with a major focus on East & Central Africa, the Kenya Homes Expo is an experiential platform that creates a level ground for real estate players to converge with a ready market for land, homes, financial advice and general real estate information.

As with every event, the expo takes into consideration the market needs and puts together a show that will meet the needs of its visitors and clientele. It will be bringing together real estate stakeholders and partners to engage with potential and existing homeowners under one roof.

By 2025, current indicators show that Africa will portend business opportunities worth $5.6 Trillion. There isn’t a better time for the Kenya Homes Expo to be held.

The Kenya Homes Expo acknowledges that there is a rising tide across Africa that brings with it new infrastructures, a better-educated labor force, and a youthful dynamic population.

This year’s Home Expo will feature Apex Steel Ltd, East Africa’s leading steel manufacturing company, focusing on innovation and an uncompromising commitment to quality since 1970.

Apex Group is one of the region’s largest importers of beams, channels, shafts, and seamless pipes, in addition to more than 4,000 general hardware items and wire products.

Their product line includes steel, cement, water treatments, hot rolled products, cold formed sections, structural steel, drinking water, waste and stormwater treatments, PVC pipes and much more, and in 2006, Apex became the first Kenyan company to manufacture steel to international standards earning the distinction of being named a Superbrand two years in a row.
