You Can Now Send and Receive Cash across M-Pesa, Airtel Money and T-kash

Kenyans will now be able to send and receive money directly across Safaricom’s M-Pesa, Airtel Money and T-kash from Tuesday (This week).

The move, according to the three service providers is aimed at cutting the cost of having to move money across networks has made it more convenient for the consumer.

Kenya now joins 15 countries in the world that have successfully implemented the movement of cash across platforms without consumers having to incur extra costs.

With the current implementation of mobile money transfer, a user will be able to transfer money from M-Pesa to Airtel Money to T-kash and withdraw from any agent at no extra cost as it was previously.

According to the stats from the Communications Authority, at least 25 million Kenyans have mobile money accounts with the country leading to financial inclusion and mobile money penetration.
