Dear Kenyans, Every Bob Counts when it comes to Data Bundles

Every Kenyan you meet, be it on the streets, in a matatu or even in a church, he or she is always on the phone, not sending SMS, but browsing.

The internet has become a very integral part of every Kenyan who owns a smartphone bringing into being the saying, “WiFi is bae” but I think it should be “internet is bae”.

With Kenyans always on the lookout for data bundles, a majority of them are continuously spending a lot of money on data bundles that do not give them a return for their money.

There are a number of data bundle providers in Kenya and in my quest to find out who has the best data bundle product, I decided to go through the products that are provided by each one of them.

At the end of my little research, just like the man in the book of Ecclesiastics, I found out that some data bundle providers are giving us, as consumers, a raw deal and it is time we woke up.

In my ‘little findings’ I will only name one player who I think has good deals and compare him to another player, who you will find a name on your own and then make a decision of where do you want to be.

Almost all the internet providers in Kenya have what they call Daily Bundle. Check this out; Telkom Kenya gives 500 MBs for 49 shillings and on top of it, gives you free WhatsApp and free calls. The other player, which I don’t want to name, gives you 150 MBs for 50 shillings with a value addition of 150 SMSs.

Telkom Kenya has also what we call Weekly Bundle. For 99 shillings, the telecommunications company gives you 400 MBs, free WhatsApp, and free calls. At the same time, the other player gives you 200 MBs for 99 shillings with nothing on top.

What about the Monthly Bundle? Telkom Kenya gives you 3GB for 499 shillings plus free WhatsApp and free calls while the other player, gives you 1GB for the same amount with no value added.

I believe you have worked hard for that money just to through it away like that. You need to think my friend. You need to make the choices that are wise.
