Safaricom Plc Top Mover of the Day as CIC Insurance Carries the day as Top Gainer

Safaricom Plc was the top mover of the day after selling 16.08 million shares with a market capitalization of 1.13 trillion.

Barclays Bank of Kenya sold 6.05 million shares followed by Equity Group with 3.37 million shares.

KenolKobil and Kenya Electricity Generating Company sold 2.19 million and 845,500 shares respectively.

The top gainer of the day was CIC Insurance Group with 9.38 percent at the price of 5.25 shillings per share.

Mumias Sugar Company was the second top gainer with 6.25 percent at the price of 0.85 shillings per share.

Kenya Airways and Stanlib Fahari Income – REIT gained 5.26 percent each at the price of 12.00 shillings per share.

Eveready East Africa gained 5.13 percent at the price of 2.05 shillings per share.

Total Kenya was the top loser of the day with 9.09 percent at the price 32.50 shillings per share.

Nairobi Business Ventures, Trans-Century, and ARM Cement lost 8.70, 7.07 and 5.66 percent at the price of 2.10, 4.60 and 7.50 shillings per share respectively.

WPP ScanGroup lost 3.86 percent at the price of 18.70 shillings per share.
