Friends School Kamusinga has joined the more than 10 secondary schools in the country that have gone down in flames.

Kamusinga is one of the education giants in Western Kenya that gained the ‘national school’ status two years ago.

According to reports from the Red Cross Kenya, a dorm called Jamhuri caught fire when students were in class for evening classes on Sunday night.

This happened even as more than 30 students were injured when fire burnt down their dormitory at Highway Secondary School in Nairobi. Five students have been arrested over the incident.

More than 10 schools have been closed across the country following fire incidences.
