Kenya is a very rich country as far as adventure is concerned. It is a country full of interesting places, and this has made international tourists from across the globe to keep coming just to have a feeling of our richness.

As the saying goes, “sometimes you don’t have to travel too far away from home to find the most adorable places you’ve ever seen”.
Nairobi is one of the unique destinations in the world. There is a lot to see and experience but not many of us would consider the city as worth exploring. Many people have traveled from far to come and experience the beauty of the city and its remarkable history.
Anyone who may be stuck on where to go for an adventure in Nairobi is are some of the places to visit within or on the outskirts of the city:
Animal Orphanage
It will cost you only 250 shillings to walk around the orphanage located in Lang’ata – some 10 kilometers from the City Centre. The orphanage is open daily from 8 am to 6 pm
The National Museum
The museum offers discounted joint tickets that include admission to the Snake Park going at 300 shillings for adults and 150 shillings for children. The museum also has a night tour package.
Karura Forest
It has a track stretching 12 kilometers. Ideal place for running, hiring or renting a bike for a ride. Entrance fee 100 shillings per adult and 50 shillings per child. Bike hire goes for only 500 shillings.
Nairobi Arboretum
The entrance fee to this adventurous place is 50 shillings only. It is as a good place for a picnics, outdoor events like photography. It occupies 30.4 hectares and is situated 3 kilometers from the city center.
The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust
This trust is an orphan-elephant rescue and rehabilitation programme located along Magadi Road. One will only need 500 shillings to gain admission and entry for children is free.
Mamba Village
It is located about 13 kilometers from the city center.
The breeding pens are home to an expected number of 70 Nile crocodiles and four Maasai Ostriches. Ticket price goes for 200 shillings only.
Rolf Place
It is a 25-minute drive from the city center on the eastern side of the Nairobi National Park.
It gives a view of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Mt. Kenya and the Ngong Hills all from one point
Paradise Lost
The most popular attraction at Paradise Lost Kiambu Road is a labyrinth of caves eroded by the waters of the nearby Gichi River, with their entrance screened by a spectacular waterfall.
It is located close to Kiambu Town, which is about 10 kilometers from Nairobi.
Entry tickets are 300 shillings per person and 250 shillings per child. Campers are charged 600 shillings per person per day with a tent provided by the establishment.
Maasai Ostrich Farm
Activities here include swimming or even ostrich riding.
One can also get an opportunity to go on a farm tour, learn more about the Ostrich.
Ostrich rideS are 500 shillings per person. For meat lovers, they can as well get a kilogram of Ostrich meat at 5000, and an egg at 3500 shillings.
Bomas of Kenya
This is a cultural hotspot, where you get to see the range of cultures in Kenya.
Bomas of Kenya is located about 10 kilometers from the City Centre. Ticket prices are adults are 1000 shillings and children 500 shillings.
