Technology is sweeping around the globe. What was is not and what is, will not be tomorrow. Technology is like a train that has long left the station. Those not on board risk being left stranded with nothing but to shape out.

According to IT experts, Artificial Intelligence, commonly known as AI is the current and next big thing which both current and future generations cannot run away from.

In the past, whenever AI was mentioned, people thought of the internet and computers and never thought of other things such as vehicles and televisions.

What is Artificial Intelligence? (AI)

Artificial intelligence is sometimes called machine intelligence. According to Wikipedia, this is the intelligence demonstrated by machines, in contrast to natural intelligence displayed by humans and other animals.

Electronic companies are now striving to include Artificial Intelligence in most of their gadgets with the latest being LG Electronics with their new LG OLED TV that use AI which the company calls ThinQ.

What LG OLED TV’s AI means

With the advanced AI capabilities through the ThinQ platform, the new LG OLED TVs allow viewers to freely interact directly to the remote control by voice and also, access ultra-convenient features of the Google voice assistant technology.

“LG OLED TV with AI (Artificial Intelligence) ThinQ has the Google Assistant built in, so you can control compatible smart home devices using just your voice. Create a center for your smart home and beyond. Plus it works with Amazon Alexa devices,” stated LG Electronics on their website.

The LG ThinQ also means that viewers can use the OLED TV model to connect with other smart home devices such as vacuum cleaners, air conditioners, smart speakers, mobile phones and many others making what is called, ‘smart home hub.’ This means that one can control any smart device in the house as long as it is connected to the LG OLED TV either via WiFi or Bluetooth.

The ThinQ was developed in 2017 with the establishment of LG’s Artificial Intelligence Lab in Korea to facilitate and accelerate research into AI.

The ThinQ platform enables and allows easy integration of AI into a wider range of products allowing LG product developers to apply the deep-learning technologies to future products.

Who needs LG OLED TV with ThinQ?

I cannot clearly specify who should have the new LG OLED TV but all I can say is that this device is for anyone who loves not only watching but watching something that comes with status, pride and gives you a sense of ownership.
