33% of Kenyans Believe William Ruto is the Most Corrupt Leader in Kenya

A new report by Ipsos Synovate has shown that the Deputy President of Kenya, William Ruto is the most corrupt leader with sentiments from 33 percent of those who took part in the study.

The report indicates that Ruto is followed closely by the Governor of Kirinyaga County, Anne Waiguru at 31 percent who has been accused of being the mastermind of the first NYS loot.

The report puts retired president Daniel Moi at position three of the most corrupt person in Kenya with 17 percent while President Uhuru Kenyatta follows closely at 11 percent.

Mwai Kibaki, Raila Odinga, and Evans Kidero got five percent of the respondents believing that they are among the most corrupt in Kenya with Kalonzo Musyoka, Mike Mbuvi Sonko, and Sospeter Ojamong coming in at one percent each.

According to the survey, at least 32 percent of Kenyans believe that corruption is the most serious problem in Kenya. The survey also shows that 82 percent of Kenyans are aware of at least one scandal as by the end of July 2018. This was an increase from 65 percent recorded in June 2016.

The survey also points out that 51 percent of Kenyans believe that President Uhuru Kenyatta is sincere in the fight against corruption.
