The new wave of technological advancements has made smart machines and their applications a daily occurrence rather than mere fiction.

Slightly more than a decade ago, the talk of Artificial Intelligence (AI) was just but a conception in the minds of computer geeks and Sci-fi movies and novels. Fast forward to 2018, and AI has not only become a reality but also the center of the smart home.

Today, when you get back to your house and feel it is a bit stuffy; instead of opening all windows and doors, through a voice command, you order your TV to purify the air, which automatically activates your purifier. It might sound far-fetched and very futuristic, but the truth is that such is the power of artificial intelligence.

AI has completely redefined the way of life in our homes and LG Electronics has been among the of the pioneers and a thought leader through its deep learning based artificial intelligence technology, Deep ThinQ, which empowers all its ThinQ AI products.

Through partnerships with companies like Google and Amazon, LG has demonstrated that they value customer autonomy as ThinQ supports other Internet of Things (IoT) powered devices from other manufacturers.

The smart home is no longer about having an air conditioner and a smart TV anymore. LG InstaView is an intelligent refrigerator having the ability to show its contents to the owner and can aid in coming up with a grocery list. LG CordZero R9, on the other hand, makes you experience modern vacuum cleaning, as it can analyze every room, clean out the dust and has the ability to recharge itself.

Moses Marji, LG Electronic General Manager Marketing says LG will continue finding new ways of getting across the top of the mountain by focusing all our energy towards coming up with innovative products that are time-saving and convenient to our customers.

“Our home products like air conditioners, refrigerators and washing machines are already Wi-Fi enabled, IoT ready and equipped with voice recognition technology. The beauty with artificial intelligence is that the more you use these products, the more they learn and evolve to meet your specific needs,” he says.

The idea of a smart home is no longer a preserve for the tech-savvy individuals or the rich. Even though some of these appliances do have substantial price tags, the truth is that it is just a one-off cost. This, in the end, is quite effective as they are energy efficient and come with a modern touch of convenience.
