NSE IN Focus: Williamson Tea Kenya Top Gainer of the Day with 25%

The Top gainer of the day at Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE), Thursday, was Williamson Tea Kenya with 25.93 percent at the price of 170.00 shillings per share.

Kapchorua Tea Kenya was the second top gainer with 25.00 percent at the price of 90.00 shillings per share followed by Carbacid Investments with 9.09 percent at the price of 12.00 shillings per share.

Nairobi Business Ventures and ARM Cement gained 8.89 and 4.65 percent at the price of 2.45 and 4.50 shillings per share respectively.

Top Losers

Trans-Century was the top loser of the day with 9.72 percent at the price of 3.25 shillings per share followed by Uchumi Supermarket with a loss of 9.68 percent at the price of 1.40 shillings per share.

WPP ScanGroup lost 7.27 percent at the price of 15.30 shillings per share. Olympia Capital and Standard Group lost 7.04 and 5.83 percent at the price of 3.30 and 28.25 shillings per share respectively.

Top Movers

Safaricom PLC was the top mover of the day having sold 18.66 million shares followed by Kenya Commercial Bank who sold 1.58 million shares.

Barclays Bank Kenya and Umeme sold 866,600 and 510,300 shares respectively while Kenya Electricity Generating Company sold 482,300 shares.
