Standard Group Tops the NSE as Eveready Sees Starts During Thursday’s Session

Top Gainers

The top gainer of the day at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) was Standard Group who gained 9.82 percent at the price of 30.75 shillings per share.

Uchumi Supermarket was the second top gainer with 9.09 percent at the price of 1.80 shillings per share followed by Deacons (East Africa) with 9.09 percent at the price of 1.20 shillings per share.

Eaagads and Longhorn Kenya gained 8.87 and 8.05 percent at the price of 20.25 and 4.70 shillings per share respectively.

Top Losers

Eveready East Africa and Nairobi Business Ventures lost 6.90 and 6.67 percent at the price of 1.35 and 2.10 shillings per share respectively.

Carbacid Investments and Liberty Kenya lost 5.04 and 3.35 percent at the price of 11.30 and 13.00 shillings per share respectively. NSE itself lost 3.35 percent at the price of 17.30 shillings per share.

Top Movers

Safaricom PLC maintained its position as the top mover of the day after selling 3.04 million shares followed by Kenya Commercial Bank who sold 1.43 million shares.

Equity Group and Barclays Bank of Kenya sold 1.27 million and 484,300 shares respectively while Kenya Power and Lighting Company sold 416,200 shares.
