Crown Paints Inks Deal with Indian Based Walplast

Crown Paints Plc has entered into a partnership with Indian based Paint Manufacturer Walplast Products Pvt Ltd to provide more quality products for the construction industry in the East African market.

Crown Paints has been selling the Walplast’s cement putty product in Kenya and the region and the announcement of the partnership is now expected to further strengthen the company’s grip in the paint market as well as broaden its portfolio.

 The technical collaboration between Crown & Walplast India also focus on the manufacturing and providing solutions like skimming material for the booming construction Industry in the region.

“The East African construction sector will hugely benefit from this collaboration. Crown Walplast Putty has been well received in this market and gives us the confidence that in future we can introduce more variety of textures, gypsum base skimming and ready-mix plaster products in this market,” said Crown Paints Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Rakesh Rao.

“Walplast and its extensive well-equipped Research and Development laboratories have developed truly path-breaking products in India. Their laboratories are equipped with internationally certified high-end technology machines and hence I am hoping these products benefit our market.”

Mehta said Crown Paints and Walplast Products Pvt Ltd will collaborate with the philosophy of nurturing business relations and mutual growth adding that both companies will aim to achieve 1000 metric tons in East African regions by the year 2022.
