Over 13,000 Kenyan youth attended the BLAZE BYOB Summit on Saturday, 22nd September at Thika Technical Institute.

The BYOB summit is a one-day event where BLAZE brings together a group of young successful mentors and industry leaders for an opportunity to share their journey and engage with the youth.

Following a successful first and second seasons that saw thousands of Kenyan youth join the Blaze platform and many younger people under the age of 26 attend the countrywide summits, the third season aims to inspire Kenyan youth with the message of GRIT (Greatness Requires Internal Toughness).

Since its launch in 2016, BLAZE has signed up over a million subscribers and provided affordable bundles to over 3.5 million youth. BLAZE is a sub-brand of Safaricom and was created to give the youth aged 26 years and below, products, services and benefits tailored specifically to meet their everyday needs.

A first of its kind platform in Kenya, East, and Central Africa, BLAZE was founded on what Kenyan youth say is most important to them: freedom, empowerment, and success.
