Safaricom’s 99-Shilling Giga Bundle Back to Complement New Data Packages

Any internet lover looking to save some coins now has a reason to smile following Safaricom’s introduction of new data packages that allow one to enjoy free WhatsApp messaging in the daily, weekly, and monthly bundle purchases.
Far from their affordability, the much-loved Giga Bundle – 1Gb for 99 shillings – is back! Safaricom had replaced the data with the daily 500MB with 500 SMS for the same amount. But now, you get two options for only 99 shillings.
If anything, Safaricom’s data bundles browse at an amazing speed, which is amazing now that you can choose your preferred subscription without worrying about easy depletion. You can easily dial *544# and choose your preferred package from a wide selection of Data bundles available for PrePay and PostPay, and enjoy browsing alongside the complementary SMS.
The best part is that the bundles are here to stay. They are not promotional, and with the company now allowing you to redeem 1 Bonga Point for 1MB data, what other sweeter deal are you hoping for?
All the data packages were restructured. The Daily data bundles now offer you six options. The first three come with free WhatsApp, and they include:
- 500MB with 500 SMS and free WhatsApp for only 99 shillings
- 150MB with 150 SMS plus free WhatsApp for 50 shillings
- 50MB with 50 SMS plus free WhatsApp for only 20 shillings
Those without free WhatsApp are:
- 15MB with 15 SMS for 10 shillings
- 7MB with 7 SMS for 5 shillings
- and the Giga 1GB for 99 shillings.
The daily bundles aren’t the only ones that give you sweet deals. For the weekly bundles, only the 100MB for 50 shillings and the Giga 10GB for 999 shillings are not accompanied by free WhatsApp. But for 500 shillings, you get weekly 3GB plus free WhatsApp, 250 shillings you get 1GB plus free WhatsApp, and for 99 shillings you get free WhatsApp and 350MBs.
The monthly bundles weren’t left behind either. The structure is as shown in the image below:

The 90-day data bundles are priced as shown below:

Subscribers of Blaze also have new data bundles. For the Daily Blaze, 20 shillings gets you 70MB with 70SMS, and 50 shillings gives you 200MB plus 200 SMS, whereas 100 shillings gives you 1GB and 200 SMS.
In the Weekly Blaze Data Bundle, for 100, 250, and 500 shillings, you get 350MB, 1GB, and 4GB respectively. On the other hand, the monthly Blaze Data Bundles 3GB, 7.5GB, and 20GB cost 500, 1000, and 2000 shillings respectively.
For the Platinum subscribers, the bundles are as shown below:

Notably, the free WhatsApp kicks in after your bundles have been depleted.
You may exhaust your bundles but you will continue chatting with friends and family for free until the date of the bundle expiry.
