The report analyzed 50 national systems of higher education from all the seven continents and sadly from Africa, only South Africa is featured in the list at number 41 out of the top 50.

The research took into consideration the competition between institutions, monitoring of performance and the country’s diversity. The five countries that topped on the great environment are Finland, United States, New Zealand, Australia, and Singapore with South Africa again being the only country on the list at position 22.
Connectivity
A good education system should be well connected to the society, country and well linked to other institutions across the World. United States, United Kingdom, Austria, Netherlands, and Denmark, according to the report, are the best connected. South Africa, being the only African country in the top 50 list comes in at number 32.
Output
Every student schools with the hope of achieving some goal which is referred to as the output. On measuring the output levels, the report reviews the student’s performance, quality of a country’s universities, a measure of a research and the impact it has and how easy it is to employ the graduates.
It is on the above measures that the report concludes that the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Switzerland, and Denmark rank highest in the World with South Africa scooping number 36 as the first African country.
Overall Results
The United States has the best education system, Switzerland follows, the United Kingdom, Sweden, and Denmark scoop the 5th position, Finland and Netherlands tie for the 6th position as Canada holds the 7th.
In Africa, South Africa leads the way with the best education system being the only country featuring in the top 50 research list.
