Trans-Century Closes The Week as Top Gainer as Centum Tails

Top Gainers

The top gainer of the day was Trans-Century. The company gained 8.22 percent during the Friday’s session at the price of 3.95 shillings per share.

The second top gainer of the day was Deacons (East Africa) with 6.67 percent at the price of 0.80 shillings per share.

Flame Tree Group and Total Kenya gained 4.29 and 4.27 percent at the price of 3.65 and 30.50 shillings per share respectively while KenolKobil gained 2.15 percent at the price of 16.60 shillings per share.

Top Losers

The top losers’ table was ruled by Centum Investments Company which lost 8.80 percent at the price of 28.50 shillings per share followed by East African Cables with 7.69 percent at the price of 3.00 shillings per share.

Britam Holdings, East African Portland Cement and Stanbic Holdings lost 6.88, 5.26 and 4.95 percent at the price of 11.50, 18.00 and 96.00 shillings per share respectively.

Top Movers

Safaricom PLC was the top mover of the day after selling 6.80 million shares followed by Barclays Bank Kenya who sold 2.92 million shares.

Cabarcid Investments and Equity Group sold 2.13 and 1.10 million shares respectively while Kenya Commercial Bank sold 945,900 shares.
