Emergencies are inevitable and based on their awkward timing, easy funds accessibility may not be the option at the moment, especially if you rely on over-the-counter money transactions or ATMs.

Technology has really turned around the banking experience for many Kenyans. Customers no longer have to go to the banking halls to access the services they need. Through mobile money platforms, customers with bank accounts can; check balance, withdraw cash, deposit cash and pay for products and services.

Mobile money has since been growing and the innovation keeps expanding and Cooperative Bank of Kenya (Co-op Bank) customers can attest to that from the various ways that have been put in place all for the sake of their convenience.

Offering convenience to customers has always been Co-op Bank’s number one priority and now, customers can be able to access their accounts and finances easily via Co-op ATM’s which can be accessed from the mobile phone.

The process is very simple:

  • Select “Withdraw Cash from ATM” on your Safaricom line,
  • Enter agent code 472472,
  • enter your M-Pesa PIN and you will receive a 6-digit code from Safaricom that will be used at the ATM

It is important to note that the 6-digit OTP expires after 4 minutes.
