Ethiopian Airline Unveils New flight Route from Addis Ababa to Los Angeles

Ethiopian Airlines has changed the ultra-long-haul route from Addis Ababa to Los Angeles to transit through Lome, Togo as of 17 December 2018 and will start a new route from Addis Ababa to Dublin via Madrid as of 15 December 2018.  

The new route will be the only and first of its kind to connect West Africa with the West Coast of the USA with a direct flight.

The new route to LAX via LFW will be operated as per below schedule:

And the new route to DUB via MAD will be operated as per below schedule:

Mr. Tewolde GebreMariam, Group CEO of Ethiopian Airlines said that they were delighted to launch another long-haul direct flight which will take passengers’ experience to a new level by availing connectivity between West Africa and the West Coast of the USA.

“Onboard our flights on the new route, passengers will as always enjoy our premium, award-winning services on the most technologically advanced B-787 Dreamliner aircraft,” said Mr. Tewolde GebreMariam.

Towalde further noted that in line with their growth roadmap, Vision 2025, they will keep expanding their vast international network, and create better air connectivity options within Africa as well as between Africa and the rest of the world.

Ethiopian Airlines has been expanding its international destinations which have now reached more than 116. Manchester, Moscow, Istanbul, and Mogadishu are just some of the new destinations the airline is set to launch soon.
