Liberty Kenya Emerges As Top Gainer At The NSE on Thursday

The top gainer of the day at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) was Liberty Kenya with 9.92 percent at the price of 13.30 shillings per share.

The East African Cables was the second top gainer of the day with 9.26 percent at the price of 2.95 shillings per share.

Trans-Century, Mumias Sugar Company and Stanlib Fahari Income – REIT gained 7.69 percent each at the price of 3.50, 0.70 and 10.50 shillings per share respectively.

Home Afrika was the top loser of the day with 7.69 percent at the price of 0.60 shillings per share followed by Barclays Bank with 4.35 percent at the price of 11.00 shillings per share.

CIC Insurance Group, Kenya Re-Insurance, and NIC Bank lost 2.56, 2.28 and 2.22 percent at the price of 3.80, 15.00 and 22.00 shillings per share.

The top mover of the day was NIC Bank with a volume of 2.09 million shares during the session followed by Kenya Power and Lighting Company who sold 1.48 million shares.

Safaricom Plc sold 683,000 while Mumias Sugar Company and Barclays Bank Kenya sold 637,800 and 448,900 shares respectively.
