Jesus Winner Ministry church is set to be the new owner of a 2.8 billion shillings land situated in Kasarani where Uchumi supermarket is constructed.

The church through a private limited company, Jewel Complex Limited, owned by Edward Mwai Kiongo, who is a majority shareholder with 36.36 percent stake, Paul Gichohi Mutune with 9.09 percent, Agnes Wanjiku Kiongo, Raphael Mwiti Thiaru, and James Kiongo Mwai who all hold 18.18 percent shares respectively.

The company was registered on 23rd May 2017 and its shareholders are the main leaders of the Jesus Winner church in Roysambu.

Jesus Winner church prides of a massive following and popularity among the political elite with images of the President and Deputy President circulating the social media upon the mention of the church.

Jesus Winners Ministry church hosted President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto for prayers on their last church service before the August 8 general election and again on 30th June 2013, about two months after he assumed power.

Traffic is a norm in the Roysambu roundabout during Sunday morning hours as followers stream into the church and at around 3 pm as they head back to their homes.

The current space can barely accommodate the ballooning congregation and the nearby Uchumi land seems to be strategic in the expansion of the Jesus Winner church.

The Uchumi land is to be sold at 2.8 billion shillings according to Court documents with 330 million shillings already paid as a deposit.

There are however other obstacles that have stalled the transactions such as UBA Bank, one of the creditors, which seeks to clear an outstanding loan through the sale proceeds.
