Uchumi Supermarket Roars To Top Gainers’ Table at the NSE

The top gainer of the day at the NSE on Tuesday was Uchumi Supermarket who gained 9.86 percent at the price of 0.78 shillings per share followed by Umeme with 9.76 percent at the price of 9.00 shillings per share.

Liberty Kenya, Olympia Capital, and I & M Holdings gained 9.21, 7.98 and 5.88 percent at the price of 13.05, 2.40 and 90.00 shillings per share respectively.

The top loser of the day was Flame Tree Group with 9.09 percent at the price of 3.00 shillings per share followed by HF Group with a loss of 8.54 percent at the price of 4.50 shillings per share.

East Africa Cables, Trans-Century and TPS Eastern Africa (Serena) lost 5.59, 5.56 and 4.26 percent at the price of 2.70, 3.40 and 20.25 shillings per share respectively.

Safaricom PLC maintained her position as the top mover after selling 3.49 million shares followed by Kenya Commercial Bank and Kenya Re-Insurance who sold 1.28 and 1.06 million shares respectively.

Equity Group and Barclays Bank Kenya sold 956,900 and 488,700 shares respectively.
