Brace Yourselves For a Hotter Drier Period-Weatherman Warns

The weatherman has predicted that the hot and dry weather conditions experienced in January will extend all the way to the month of love, February.

In a seven day forecast, the weatherman indicates that hot and dry weather conditions are expected to continue over most parts of the country.

Rift Valley Counties such as Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Baringo, UasinGishu, Elgeyo-Marakwet, Nandi, Bomet, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, and Busia are likely to experience sunny intervals during the day and partly cloudy conditions at night 29th January to 4th February 2019. Occasional afternoon/evening showers and thunderstorms are expected in very few places in the Rift Valley Counties.

Laikipia, Nakuru, Kericho, and Trans Nzoia Counties are expected to experience sunny intervals during the day and partial clouds at night all through to the month of February

Counties such as Turkana, West Pokot, and Samburu are likely to experience sunny conditions during the day and partly cloudy conditions at night through 29th January to 4th February 2019.

Central Highlands which include Counties such as Nairobi, Nyandarua, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang’a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, and Tharaka are likely to experience sunny intervals during the day and partly cloudy conditions at night throughout the period.

High ground areas are however expected to experience occasional afternoon showers most specifically in the Northeastern Counties such as Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, and Isiolo.

The Northeastern Counties are also likely to experience sunny conditions during the day and partly cloudy conditions at night throughout the forecast period.

Southeastern Lowlands Counties such as Kajiado, Kitui, Makueni, Machakos and Taita Taveta are likely to experience sunny conditions during the day and partly cloudy conditions at night throughout the period.

The Coastal Strip Counties which are Mombasa, Tana River, Kilifi, Lamu, and Kwale are likely to experience sunny intervals during the day and partly cloudy conditions throughout the forecasted period.
