Betting and Porn Sites Dominate Kenya’s Most Visited Websites

Kenya is expected to hit the 1 billion gigabytes mark by 2022 with the Communications Authority of Kenya (CAK) estimating that there are 42.2 million internet users contrary to Internet live stats that stand at 21.2 million in the country as at 2018.

The country now has access to the 4G mobile connectivity in every county courtesy of giant telecommunication company, Safaricom. Search – A majority of internet users in the country use Google making it the most-visited website and used the search engine.

Sports

Kenya has slowly become a gambling nation and this is evident as a Sports betting company, SportPesa, remains the most “Googled” word by since 2016.

Facebook

Facebook has a huge number of users estimated to be over 8.5 million. Facebook is hence the second-most-visited website in Kenya.

Sex

Kenyans are watching more adult content than any other East and Central African country. Kenya has two adult websites listed in Kenya’s top 10 most-visited sites.

Stories

Kenyans are loving stories from online news, entertainment or video as viewership continues to grow.
