Thursday: Equity Group Emerges as Top Mover of the Day at the NSE

Equity Group was the top mover of the day at the NSE after moving 7.79 million shares followed by Safaricom that sold 1.94 million shares.

Kenya Commercial Bank and Co-operative Bank sold 419,900 and 334,500 shares followed by the Barclays Bank of Kenya who sold 234,100 shares.

The top loser of the day was Flame Tree Group with 9.43 percent at the price of 2.40 shillings per share followed by Longhorn Publishers with 6.83 percent at the price of 6.00 shillings per share.

Standard Group, Sameer Africa and Nairobi Securities Exchange lost 6.31, 4.95 and 3.23 percent at the price of 23.00, 1.73 and 13.50 shillings per share respectively.

Home Afrika carried the day as the top gainer of the day with 5.36 percent at the price of 0.59 shillings per share.

I&M Holdings and Stanbic Holdings gained 3.77 and 3.09 percent at the price of 110.00 and 100.00 shillings per share.

East African Cables and Bamburi Cement gained 2.74 and 2.36 percent at the price of 3.00 and 130.00 shillings per share respectively.
