Shilling Slightly Dips Against The Dollar But Still Resilient

The Kenyan shilling slightly weakened against the US Dollar on Wednesday but still maintained its resilience. The shilling weakened 0.01 percent to close at 100.05 shillings.

Against the Sterling Pound, the Kenyan Shilling strengthened 0.87 percent to close at 131.08 shillings while against the Euro, the local currency strengthened 0.15 percent to close at 113.29 shillings

Kenyan Stock Market 

Against the Sterling Pound, the Kenyan Shilling strengthened 0.87 percent to close at 131.08 shillings while against the Euro, the local currency strengthened 0.15 percent to close at 113.29 shillings.

Total equity turnover rose to USD 3.25 million (4.0 billion shillings) compared to USD  3.25 million ( 325.5 million shillings) recorded on Tuesday.

NSE 20 and NASI indices edged up 0.08 percent and 0.59 percent to close at 2,909.74 and 154.60 respectively.

Foreign investors assumed a net buying position by accounting for 93.83 percent of total market sales and 95.71 percent of total market purchases.

EAC Markets   

Rwanda: RSI and RASI indices rose 0.46 percent and 0.07 percent to close at 125.96 and 130.74.
