The NSE: East African Portland Cement Carries the Day as Top Gainer of the Day

The top gainer of the day at the NSE on Wednesday was the East African Portland Cement who gained 10.00 percent at the price of 18.70 shillings per share.

Longhorn Publishers and Stanbic Holdings gained 7.69 and 5.91 percent at the price of 7.00 and 98.50 shillings per share respectively.

Kenya Airways and Sameer Africa gained 5.63 and 5.26 percent at the price of 6.00 and 2.00 shillings per share respectively.

The top loser of the day was East African Cables with 9.35 percent at the price of 2.81 shillings per share followed by Unga Group with a loss of 7.89 percent at the price of 35.00 shillings per share.

Carbacid Investments and Olympia Capital gained 7.44 and 7.20 percent at the price of 9.20 and 2.45 shillings per share respectively. Uchumi Supermarket lost 6.78 percent at the price of 0.55 shillings per share.

BAT Kenya was the top mover of the day after selling 5.86 million shares followed by Safaricom who sold 5.45 million shares.

Barclays Bank, Kenya Commercial Bank, and the East African Breweries sold 5.05 million, 833,600 and 537,900 shares respectively.
