Umeme Closes the Week as Top Gainer of the Day at NSE

Umeme was the top gainer of the day with 9.89 percent at the price of 6.00 shillings per share followed by Nation Media Group with 8.58 percent at the price of 63.25 shillings per share.

Olympia Capital, Flame Tree Group and Eaagads gained 7.30, 7.00 and 6.00 percent at the price of 2.50, 2.60 and 15.90 shillings per share respectively.

Mumias Sugar Company was the top loser of the day with 10.53 percent at the price of 0.51 shillings per share followed by Home Afrika with 9.09 percent at the price of 0.50 shillings per share.

Unga Group, Stanlib Fahari Income – REIT and Standard Group lost 5.71, 4.66 and 4.03 percent at the price of 33.00, 9.00 and 25.00 shillings per share respectively.

The top mover of the day was Equity Group after selling 14.71 million shares followed by Safaricom and Kenya Commercial Bank who sold 9.91 and 9.44 million shares respectively.

WPP ScanGroup and Centum Investment Company sold 700,300 and 532,900 shares respectively.
