Vegetable Prices Across The Country Off The Roof As Dry Spell Rules

A 50-kilogram bag of Sukumawiki is retailing at a wholesale price of 2,020 shillings in Mombasa, 1,800 shillings in Kisumu, 1,720 shillings in Nakuru,  1,600 shillings in Eldoret, 1,00 shillings and 1,350 shillings in Nairobi.

A 126-kilogram bag of Cabbages is going for 2,650 shillings in Mombasa, making it the highest market price compared to other towns. Kisii has the lowest market price of 1,050 shillings.

A 64-kilogram crate of Tomatoes is retailing at 9,250 shillings in Kisii, 6,500 shillings in Kisumu, 6,300 shillings in Mombasa, 5,500 shillings in Nairobi, 5,000 shillings in Nakuru, 4,500 shillings in Eldoret, 4,480 shillings in Embu, 4,125 shillings in Kitale and 4,000 shillings in Malindi.

A 13-kilogram bag of Dry onions is going for 910 shillings in Nairobi, Kisumu, and Eldoret respectively, 900 shillings in Embu, 850 shillings in Malindi, 800 shillings in Mombasa, 750 shillings in Nakuru and Kitale respectively and 700 shillings in Kisii.
