OPPO Relocates its Nairobi Office

Global smartphone brand OPPO has relocated its Nairobi office to the ultra-modern FCB Mihrab in Kilimani along Cotton Avenue, off Lenana Road.

“We have moved to this convenient location to serve our target market effectively and efficiently; to bring our wide-range of camera smartphones closer to clients and distributors as well as resonate with our brand image,” OPPO Kenya Brand Director Jesse Wu said.

In February, this year, OPPO opened its second regional hub within the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to make Dubai its new center for operations in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.  In the MEA region, OPPO has a presence in Kenya, UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria, and Nigeria.

The hub is OPPO’s base for Middle East’s regional sales, distribution, and marketing operations, as well as being a point from which OPPO will look to deepen technology partnerships with other private and public-sector entities.

Within the last one year, OPPO started to adjust its product line in the region to include the launch of its flagship OPPO Find X smartphone in the UAE in September 2018. This year, OPPO will continue to adjust its product line to offer more premium series to young consumers in the region. Already, it has launched the F11 Pro and F11 in Kenya; which upgrades from being a “selfie expert” to “portrait master”, featuring a 48-megapixel image sensor, to provide users with an unprecedented night photography experience.

For the first time, software and hardware upgrades combine to improve battery life, gaming performance, and user experience in a device. It also boasts an uninterrupted full-screen display made possible by a hidden front camera module rising up when required.

At the same time, OPPO is focused on ramping up its development of 5G-compatible smartphones. Gulf nations have already started to test 5G broadband networks with the first 5G smartphones expected to be revealed in later this year.
