A List of MPs Who Have Never Spoken In Parliament

At least 13 Members of Parliament have never spoken in parliament despite drawing huge salaries and allowances.

In a report released by Mzalendo Trust, some of the Members of Parliament who are vocal outside the House, have never uttered even a single world while in parliament.

The data released by Mzalendo Trust was collected between September 2017 and December 2018.

Here is a list of MPs who have never spoken on the floor of the House:

  1. Justus Kizito (ODM, Shinyalu)
  2. James Wamacukuru (Jubilee, Kabete)
  3. Alfred Sambu (ANC, Webuye East)
  4. Oscar Sudi (Jubilee, Kapsaret)
  5. Joshua Adama (ODM, Nyakach)
  6. Samuel Arama (Jubilee, Nakuru West)
  7. Alex Kosgey (Jubilee, Emgwen)
  8. Charles Kamuren (Jubilee, Baringo South)

Women Representatives have also not been left behind for remaining mute while in parliament. They include:

  1. Anab Mohamed (Garissa)
  2. Lilian Tomitom (West Pokot)
  3. Irine Kasalu (Kitui)
  4. Jane Wanjuki (Embu)
  5. Jane Chebaibai (Elgeyo Marakwet)

There are those who have spoken less than 8 times while in parliament. They include:

  1. Safia Sheikh (Marsabit)
  2. Amina Hassan (Mandera)
  3. Lydia Mizighi (Taita Taveta)
  4. Jerusha Momanyi (Nyamira)
  5. Asha Mohamed (Mombasa)

There are other MPs who have only spoken 5 times while in parliament. They include:

  1. Gabriel Mukuha (Githunguri)
  2. Shadrack Mose (Kitutu Masaba)
  3. John Paul Mwirigi (Igembe South)
  4. Annie Wanjiku (Gatundu North)

The following have only spoken four times:

  1. Samuel Kinuthia (Subukia)
  2. Gabriel Tongoyo (Narok West)
  3. Patrick Kimani (Thika Town
  4. Mercy Gakuya (Kasarani)
