Sanlam Kenya Emerges as the Top Gainer of the Day at the NSE

Sanlam Kenya was the top gainer of the day at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) on Wednesday with 9.83 percent at the price of 22.90 shillings per share.

Olympia Capital was the second top gainer with 8.23 percent at the price of 2.50 shillings per share followed by Kenya Power and Lighting with 7.14 percent at the price of 3.75 shillings per share.

Uchumi Supermarket and Flame Tree Group gained 7.14 and 6.23 percent at the price of 0.60 and 2.90 shillings per share respectively.

Mumias Sugar Company was the top loser of the day with 5.00 percent at the price of 0.38 shillings per share followed by TPS Eastern Africa (Serena) and Stanlib Fahari Income-REIT with a loss of 4.25 and 4.05 percent at 19.15 and 8.52 shillings per share respectively.

WPP ScanGroup and HF Group lost 2.61 and 2.50 percent at the price of 11.20 and 3.90 shillings per share respectively.

The top mover of the day was Safaricom who moved 22.67 million shares followed by Equity Group and Stanbic Holdings with 5.00 and 1.50 million shares respectively.

Jubilee Holdings and Barclays Bank sold 1.38 and 1.21 million shares respectively.
