Former Kenyan news anchor, Esther Arunga, has been sentenced to 10 months on parole for lying about the death of her son which made her an accessory to the murder.

Esther Arunga who was sentenced in an Australia court had admitted as having lied to the Court regarding the murder of her child in a bid to protect her husband Quincy Timberlake.

Quincy Timberlake is accused of killing his three-year-old son, Sinclair, while on the process of casting out demons.

Australian Press quoted Crown Prosecutor Danny Boyle saying Arunga called emergency services and told them that the boy had fallen down the stairs. But an autopsy revealed Sinclair died “as a result of a severe blunt force such as punching or stamping or similar” and his injuries were inconsistent with a fall.

It was only when Timberlake was admitted to a mental health facility that Esther recounted her statement.

Esther told investigators that she came from the bathroom to find Timberlake punching their three-year-old Sinclair on the tummy before he abruptly threw the boy to the wall.

Esther, according to Mr. Boyle delayed investigations though she did not interfere as her false account of the events delayed Timberlake’s arrest. Arunga’s lawyer said Arunga believed her husband was mentally unstable.

The genesis of Arunga’s Woes

Esther Arunga, alumni of Kenya high, was once a force to reckon with in the media scene in Kenya as she graced Kenya television and presented prime news on KTN.

Esther’s troubles began when she joined the Finger of God in Kenya confusing her followers who could all sense the direction she was headed on.

Esther revealed information that regarded her relationships and spirituality that was odd and led to her conflict with her parents and family as they tried to stop her.

Finger of God was later associated with cultic practices and was apparently run by Arunga’s distant relative and talented saxophonist Joseph Hellon.

It is at Finger of God that Esther met Wilson Malaba, a former church elder, and later Quincy Timberlake who became her husband.

Esther moved out of Kenya in a huff and relocated to Australia with her husband Timberlake only to be heard of again when her husband murdered their three-year-old son.
