Co-operative Bank is on the process of rolling out corporate advisory services through Co-op consultancy, which is one of its subsidiaries, after getting into a partnership with the Metropolitan National Sacco.

The partnership is expected to enhance service delivery to Co-op customers and members of the Metropolitan National Sacco.

Co-operative has restructured the Saccos funding requirements, under its Corporate Restructure Program, which will enable it to manage its customer’s monthly loan demands better, not to forget the overall liquidity flows targeting to completely turnaround the Sacco.

“We thank Coop bank for restructuring at this timely moment as this has injected new growth at the Sacco,” Christopher Karanja, the Chairman Metropolitan Sacco said.

Co-operative Bank has re-launched the Sacco Personal cheque, Sacco link debit card, and trade finance partnership to enable the increase of the Sacco’s revenue base through its front office service activity (FOSA).

“The recommendations and measures that have so far been put in place will certainly get the Sacco to new heights,” Karanja noted.

“The corporate restructuring deal will ensure the Sacco has the adequate working capital to support the members as well as improve the operational efficiency of the Sacco. Vincent Marangu, Director, Co-operatives Banking Division at Co-operative Bank.

Metropolitan National Sacco prides as one of the largest Saccos with over 15 million members registered.
