A high court judge has issued warrants for the arrest of Kisumu County governor, Prof. Anyang’ Nyong’o and his sister, Risper Nyagoy after the two had disobeyed several court orders.

Justice Tripsisa Cherere had ordered the duo, on October 11, 2018, to submit books of account of their father’s Hesbone Shimei Nyong’o multimillion-shilling estate after some of their nephews had sued them for non-inclusion to the family’s inheritance.

Prof Nyong’o and his sister Dr. Nyagoy, neither submitted the books of account nor attended the court hearings.

In connection to these, Justice Cherere fined the two 400,000 shillings for contempt of court and 50,000 shillings for every month they had not issued the accounts book.

The judge also committed the duo to a one-month jail term.
