Trans-Century Kicks Off The Week With a Bang as Top Gainer

The top gainer at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) was Trans-Century followed by East African Cables, Mumias Sugar Company, Carbacid Investments, and Stanlib Fahari Income – REIT.

Trans-Century gained 9.59 percent at the price of 4.00 shillings per share followed by East African Cables and Mumias Sugar Company with 8.87 and 8.57 percent at 2.70 and 0.38 shillings per share respectively.

Carbacid Investments and Stanlib Fahari Income – REIT gained 5.50 and 3.93 percent at the price of 9.20 and 9.00 shillings per share respectively.

The top five losers were led by HF Group followed by Nairobi Business VENTURES, Liberty Kenya, Eveready East Africa, and Kenya Airways.

HF Group and Nairobi Business Ventures lost 9.09 and 8.05 percent at the price of 3.90 and 0.80 shillings per share respectively.

Liberty Kenya, Eveready East Africa, and Kenya Airways lost 5.41 5.15 and 4.15 percent at the price of 10.50, 0.92 and 4.85 shillings per share respectively.

Co-operative Bank was the top mover of the day with 9.26 million shares followed by Safaricom and Equity Group with 2.83 million and 118,600 shares respectively.

The KCB Group and Mumias Sugar Company sold 99,100 and 79,700 shares respectively.
